Ben Josephson is a senior vice president in the government relations practice at O’Neill and Associates. In this capacity, Mr. Josephson advises clients on federal and state and local legislative and regulatory processes, with a particular expertise in financial services, energy, gaming, and real estate financing. Mr. Josephson also consults with candidates for elective office on fundraising strategy and implementation.

Mr. Josephson brings several years of experience in national political fundraising and advance to his work. Prior to joining, and during his time at O’Neill and Associates, Mr. Josephson served in several capacities for Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut. Mr. Josephson served as deputy finance director for Senator Lieberman’s 2000 Senate re-election campaign and was active on the fundraising and advance teams for the 2000 Gore-Lieberman campaign, in conjunction with Senator Lieberman’s selection as the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee. Mr. Josephson also consulted to Senator Lieberman’s 2004 Presidential and 2006 Senate re-election campaigns overseeing fundraising in Connecticut.

From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Josephson served as director of a donor program at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in Washington, D.C. where he brought industry representatives together with elected officials for fundraising events, policy briefings and retreats. Mr. Josephson also served previously in Sen. Thomas A. Daschle’s Democratic Leadership office. Mr. Josephson holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rochester.
