Jeremy Crockford is a seasoned media relations strategist with extensive experience in crisis management and high-profile advocacy and issues campaigns.

As an associate at O’Neill and Associates, Jeremy headed teams raising public awareness and influencing political responses on issues including climate change, energy, mergers and acquisitions, labor unions and transportation. As team leader on major issues campaigns Jeremy worked with clients to create winning strategies, formulate effective messages and drive supporting print, electronic and social media.

After serving as political editor and Massachusetts Statehouse bureau chief for the state’s largest afternoon newspaper, Jeremy left journalism to serve as director of media relations for the Massachusetts Port Authority, overseeing crisis communications and media strategy for Logan International Airport, the Port of Boston, regional airports and large real estate holdings in the City of Boston.

Jeremy then worked for the Bechtel Corp. as Chief of Staff/Director of Communications on the nation’s largest construction project, Boston’s $24 billion Big Dig, leading the private sector and state teams on crisis management and media strategy while serving as chief project spokesperson on issues in the national and local media.

Following his tenure at the Big Dig, Jeremy served as media consultant, speechwriter and spokesperson on political campaigns for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general and for referendum campaigns on healthcare and environmental issues.

Jeremy has authored numerous op-eds that have appeared in the Boston Globe, The New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal, along with others.

Jeremy grew up in New London, New Hampshire, graduated from Hamilton College and lives on a farm in Massachusetts with horses, goats and his family.
